Hey, Grenade10!

What lathe are you using? Is it a hobby sized lathe? If so, which brand and model? I am looking into getting a small lathe to do work like this.

Yes it is a hobby size, brand is Sherline that I have had for almost 20 years. Also have the set up for a verticle mill, with lots of "Must Have Stuff" LOL

You need to find a good source for the cutters, and I like the ones that you have 3 cutting points and they do not get sharpened. Don't do enough stuff to really grind my own cutters. Really just need the 3 or 4 jaw chuck and must have collets to hold small parts.

Well I have received several requests to machine some hubs. It would be best to do them all at the same time when the lathe is set up. So if your interested, let me know. I'd like to do these at the end of July. Ship them to me with postage to return, labor is on me for fellow Rebel racers. PM me for address.

if you recal, friction between 2 elastic surfaces is a function of the material and normal force, surface area is not a variable.

Ran my Rebel for the 1st time this weekend. The car is awesome. I couldn't believe how good the car was right out of the box. It is going to be a great carpet season.

Thannks OD for the great service.
