So, another race day down and I couldn't be more impressed... every time I take this car out, I get faster and faster... just making minor adjustments. I have only ran 12th scale twice (RC racing altogether about 8 times)... and today, I qualified 2nd and placed 2nd... but every time I went out, I was faster than before... a few operator errors kept me out of 1st... but I'm working on consistency and the Rebel is, without a doubt, my favorite car to drive.

Well I will have my car finished this weekend and am looking forward to running next week. I'm going to be running it as 17.5 open ESC, so tire sizing is not a hugh issue. Also may try an old bolink steering block and see if that works for smaller tires.

Make 2 thin shims out of scrap body material loosen the 3 front arm screws slid the shim between the chassis and the lower arm on just the inside (one shim per arm) then retighten all screws. Try it, it works.

In other words, does that mean that the A-arms are NOT going to be flush with the chassis. When looking at the car from the front are the a-arms slanted? That's what it sounds like to me from the description. Wouldn't that mess up some of the steering ackerman/throw. Or is it just minimal enough to where ya can't really tell. I've heard that they are making new arms to fix the ride height issue, but not sure, just heard through the grapevine.

team tamale is making lowered steering block for the rebel. there maybe 2 versions. if you use the stock axles, the offset of the block will allow you to run smaller tires. the threaded axles could not be lowered as much

See if this diff building article helps

Also I have included several car building / tuning articles here.
