They definately work, and for most are probably the safest combo.
however to get those last few tenths you generally need a regular front tire.

Third week with the Rebel and it continues to impress me. I haven't run 1/12 scale in a few years, so I started in the boosted 17.5 class to get my fingers working. First week out I was 1 lap off the TQ and the car was super easy to drive. Made some tire changes, tube lube and center shock adjustments and week two put me within a few seconds of the fast guys. After round one yesterday, I had TQ'ed with 47/8:04. The points leader took TQ in round two at 47/8:02. A bad start in round 3 cost me 2 seconds on the first lap, but the car was on point. 47/8:03 with less than 1 second between myself and TQ. Speedo issues kept me out of the main, but the mod guys let me run with them to sort out my adjustments. More power to the ground (diff had been slipping) and better settings on the Tekin and this thing is a dream to drive. Stepping it up to MOD next weekend to stretch the legs. So far, so good.

Sounds good, I really want one. I'm looking forward to getting back on the rug. I should be at Debbies in April, moving back to the East Coast.

That's awesome, Mike. Haven't raced with you in a few years. It will be good to have some more talent at the track. See ya soon.

Having a great time driving my Rebel. Such a joy to put a car together box stock and get right back in the groove of 1/12th scale again...Thanks TOP.

Just think it would be marvelous if TOP made some front arms for carpet racing that could let us run small rubber. Seeing everyone filing, swapping out parts from other companies cars seams to be a big clue that TOP should retool the front arms so we can keep our little cars 100% TOP.

Thanks.............

Good to hear your Rebel is working good!

YES, remaking the arm to allow usage of smaller tires is very high on our priority list!

Just to be clear to everyone else, in the stock configuration you can still run your front tires to 40 and get 3mm ride height.

Sorry , but with basic setup of the front I only can manage 41mm front , to keep ride-height. What have you done to get it with stock setup

Check your steering blocks, there's a 0.4mm gain/loss there. And no shim...and shim all the slack from the springs so there's no droop.... that will let me do 39.75mm. Tough if yer needs the droop........

and what else ??
