Until we get something from Larry - here is a temporary solution to the ride height issue http://www.racerlog.com/wiki/T.O.P._Rebel

Why are youguys swapping out to different steering blocks?
I got some threaded axles (i believe they were for the AE R5. and the slotted straight in no issues.

Has anyone noticed any strange handling immediately after putting the car sideways or hitting a dot?
On the bench when moving the pod, the side springs click in and out of the side link recesses, sometimes getting caught on the lip, effectively preloading 1 side spring an additional 2mm for a moment. Your thoughts?

due to ride height concerns. you cannot make ride height with small front tires. it looks like Ralph has been busy -- good work man..

Flip the sides of the links and run the recess down. I have been running them like that since day 1 and have had no problems. I accidentally did it because I had no instructions when I built my car 4 months ago.

only reason why I swapping the steering block is because the alum block king pin hole don't wearout like the plastic and no slop...my camber stay the same...

Depends on the track size..... but 30-35 in rollout, and a 4-4,5t is much more recomanded.

Thanks for that.

I have a 10.5 (With boost) in for now (First outing with 1/12 tonight) and a 5.5 for when i gain some confidence. The 3.5 will be to see if i can get it round and improve throttle control.... The same way i run Mod TC to improve my stock racing.

Cheers
Phill

Thanks, looks like your Fopar is better than the deisgners
I flipped the links on my firends and my car, both were much better on the track, much more consistent. Sometimes the norm definately does not need redesigning.

The car was transformed going from 25k oil to 50k side tube oil. sssoooo much more consistent.

I also played with raising the outside front top link 2mm, the steering was so much more consistent, was ultra easy to drive.

What tires are you using at Windsor?

The safe bet is speedmind 32f with 30 or 32 rear.

Other brands also work, you can get for example CRC Purple with CRC pink or Magenta to work, but it requires a lot more finesse.

The different type of foam that Speedmind use for the fronts just makes life easier.

So I guess that speedmind combo would work at SMA and Fairy Meadow too?
