12th Scale Rear Axle
As everybody knows Corally is infamous for their wheel clip design and limited wheel interchangeablilty with other companies. I would like to know if any other 12th scale cars share the same diminsions on their rear axle as Coraly so I would at least be able to run other companies tires in the rear. Thanks.

American Axles on Corally Pan Cars
Years ago (1991) the Corally company made some adapters for the rear bearing carriers that would use a 3/8 x 1/4 bearing. Then you could install an American axle/differential assembly and run American type rear wheels. TRC had the axle and right side hub that would make the rear track of the car the same as a 12L. You had to get a left side hub and use a bunch of shims, but it could be done and many people did that.
Corally also made a front axle that would hold an American type front wheel.
It would be interesting if Superior Hobbies has any of these or can still get them from the Corally company.

I have some adapters in my pit box that will let you run flangeless Associated style rims in the front of your Corally, but still keep the Corally hub and what not. PM me if interested, I don't have a Corally any more but never sold them.
As for the rear, I wondered the same thing but never really had the time to look into it. Shouldn't be that big of an obstacle if you are serious. I ended up moving on to the 12l4.

Thanks for the replies, if anybody else has some ideas they would be appreciated. But moving on to a trinity or associated might be in the near future.

kawada axle?
You might want to check out the rear axle on the Kawada 300m series of 1/12th cars,i think they use something similiar but i not sure.Go to www.kawadaracing.com or go to www.kawadamodel.co.jp kawada's home site in Japan(you may want to download a lang. translater like bablefish) and e-mail them.If you go to the kawadaracing site go to the 300m page and there is a picture of the rear axle and you might be able to tell if it is the same or close to it!! I am waiting for the Kawada 300m limited 2 come in now,it just got released in Japan and should hit U.S distributor soon.
