Aitutaki,
thatīs great, that you can run also kit tires. From Tamiya Tires, I always found that the radials are working more easy to drive on the M06 rear for me.
Thanks for the shock/spring setup, but Iīm still curious, if you run Brushless to compete with the FWD-Minis?
And what batteries do you use in the M-class?

Thanks in advance,
Matthias

Hi Matthias,

we have to use the Carson Cup Machine brushed motor. I think you know this Black Can equivalent very well
Batteries are not limited.
i always use shortys - Vampire Batteries works so well ... - also to have the possibility to change the battery position from rear to front within the short wheelbase...

and i fully agree. i love the S-Grip tires on the rear wheels. they work very fine...

cheers

Thanks Flo,
yes, I know this engine really well, and still like it! In Germany 2 years ago I was the only one running it in the Euro Cup run I participated. The others were already using the 16t Carson brushless, which is in my eyes a slight advantage for the FWD Minis. They were just spinning the front wheels so much, that the acceleration of the Top FWD Minis was really well. But as I learned, being stuck to the Type A-slicks Tire sauce is very important, and everyone is using secret receipes to get the best out of the tire...
Much to complicated for me.

Br,
Matthias

Hi all,

I have an M03 and M05 and would like an M06 for the collection too

I must admit I dont know too much about these but have seen them in various specs on ebay.

Which one do I want?

Oh, if it matters I'll be using it on carpet.

Cheers

For the price, the M06R is your best as far as price and hop-ups included. It already has aluminum dampers, aluminum steering, the rear weights, and various other items that I can't think of right now. Also the bling factor of having a silver and read chassis

I have a question about suspension setup.

using the 54000 dampers, how do you achieve a 5mm ride height?

do I need the carbon fiber towers?

I have two o rings in the front damper piston using the stock towers and it's far from 5mm. this is with the springs all the way up(not threaded).

If I put another o ring in there won't be much travel left.

I am hoping someone out there has discovered a very short rear body post for the M-05 or M-06? I am trying to set up a Midnight Pumpkin body for fun and need the rear body posts to be basically 0 lift.

Could anyone tell me where, or if, you can get the rear hub weight from the M06R? Building myself up another M06 and wouldn't mind it as a tuning option.

Standard and Pro Kit:

You need to use the pistons that comes with the kit, they are slightly longer than standard m chassis 54000 pistons. Part number is: 9805548

http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio...-58193-9805548

Carbon Dampers: There are two types. 54300 and 54299 are designed to be used with the 54000 m chassis dampers

54362 and 54361 are designed to be used with the standard touring trf dampers.

M06R: The M06R becomes a little bit more tricky because it has a new lower suspension mount. That kit require that you use 9805504 on the rear with the M chassis dampers.

http://www.tamiyausa.com/items/radio...-58200-9805504

I however ended up using the standard tc damper in the rear to get more ride height.
