The carbon tower is needed when using the aluminum upright. 3racing, yeah racing, broad tech, Tamiya all make sets. Get what ever one your rules allow.

The stock plastic will break in the middle between the ball joints if you take a hit to either one of the rear wheels. Almost everyone at my club has broken one. We have mostly M06's run. 20 cars a night.

Greetings from Germany!

I found this thread by Google, and i think here are the Experts for the M 06!

My M 06 is a horrible disaster. I was unable to found a working Setup for outdoor Asphalt Tracks.
It goes down as ice, has no traction in the curve and if so then comes the rear around. I've tried a lot, but unfortunately I can not find the right setup.
I have installed the carbon / aluminum shock tower for front and rear. TRF Dampers and springs I use too.
We drive the Tamiya Euro Cup, where we are allowed to drive only the Type A slicks. The drive I use the Carson Brushless Set with 16 turns, Model 500906117. I have built up the chassi in the long version (LWB), because a Mazda RX7 and an old Porsche 911 Body are in my hands.
I've already brought out some tips from this thread, but unfortunately I have not found a setup for my M 06.

Has anyone of you maybe a basic setup, i can work with?

At last, hope you could help me get my M 06 finally runs properly.

BR
Stephan

Freaky duck,

I'm no expert, but I'm very happy with my cars performance. The obvious challenge with this car is to make the rear stable. To achieve this, you have to make the front unstable. I achieved this as follows:

Front: suspension needs to be firm and oil heavy. I run yellow short spring, and 45 wt oil. I also run +1 camber in front with 1 degree toe out. Spacer inside shock is stock from manual.

Back: I run soft suspension, red short spring, 35 wt oil and - 2 camber. Toe in is stock kit. Shock spacer insdie damper is stock rear from manual Rear shock tower, I'm using middle hole. If you're still spinning in turn, you may want to go to 3rd hole, (inside).

I run M-wheel base, with battery in back position. For you I recommend battery all the way back. You want all the weight in back wheels.

Tyres: I run m chassis radial. On front I used hard radial with soft insert. On rear I run S grip radial with soft insert. I don't have much experience with the Tamiya type a slicks.

If you're using brakes before you enter a turn, I recommend you adjust your brake EPA to under 50%. Then test the car, and lower the EPA until it doesn't spin any more.

Hope this helps

So no one has news on why they're releasing a second version of front and rear carbon towers?

ok for the info. i run on streets , the basket ball court and when we run me and my buddys race on a tennis court. the street not getting traction i get because its dirty not prepped or that stuff. the tennis court ? thats like sand paper same with the basket ball court . i just want so help to get the car to handle and run well.

setup now .
front trf shock one hole pistons 40w a/e shock oil stock camber 1. deg toe out tires hpi m compound tires and 0mm offset cup racer wheels . red springs. one rubber o ring under piston. front silver sway bar .

rear. trf shocks three hole piston 32w a/e shock oil stock camber . im running tb01 rear uprights broke stock ones (nasty crash) 1.deg toe on them i think? blue springs rear silver sway bars hpi s compound slicks cup racer wheels 1mm offset.

4000 20c 2s lipo . dyamite fuze 3800kv motor . 16t pinion on motor . gear diff tamiya gease. what i got hope thats enough details. thanx guys and sorry about bad spelling and typing

Default What tyres......

Hi all

Just wanted to see what rubber tyres people are finding fastest on carpet?60d or 55d? Not restricted to tamiya but after longevity as well.
Cheers in advance
Paul
