Don't worry about any gear ratio advantages this car may have like the M03 and M04 days. That is a non issue here if you get my drift. Stay tuned...

Thanks R/C Market. This forum is for people who are always looking forward to the future of r/c cars. The united states always tend to be the last country on planet earth to know anything cool.

LOL not true:D
Holland is the last country who has the info and the models. If the states have the new release then Holland will get it 2 or 3 months later:flaming::flaming: cheers Roy

Bingo...RWD dorifto chassis - i.e. NOT a competition car so gear ratios etc not a factor.... :nod:
I also think that drifting is more of a 4wd thing. Anyway, it sounds like great fun and I know I'll not be able to resist trying to campaign one in our mini class. I think this opens the door for Tamiya to make several new bodies of RWD cars. Being an old guy, I have a hard time getting excited about FWD bodies like the Yaris and Civic. Give me a BMW 2002 or Shelby Daytona. Heck, this could be a whole new segment of VTA if it was done right. One can only hope. |

more realistic rwd chassis
Come-on Tamiya... We are waiting!!!!!!!!
:smile: Always think Honda S800 on a FWD chassis is a joke.... :( |
I hope it's a square lipo compatible RWD car. I love my M04 but the battery limitations suck.

What!!!!?? M06? this will make my M03 look like a million years old.:cry:

There is a company that makes a very beautiful BMW 2002 bodyshell. I am their distributor in Australia, so if you want I can sell you one, but beware, you might not want to run it after you build it.

I sold my m04 and picked up the Cup Racer and run my Alfa Guilia on it. When I saw Tamiya re-releasing RWD bodies on M05, thought M04 was history.
Guess Tamiya heard us complaining about how silly FWD chassis would be with these RWD bodies and decided to release an M06! Hopefully it will be a tuneable double deck chassis, a simple layout like an F104, with a gear box and A arms, or something similar to cup racer ...instead of a continuation of M04/M05. |
look at the bottom left of this picture
M06 is stated here :confused::confused: http://www.hobby-show.info/shizuoka2010/images/0091.jpg |

LOL.. As they say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder..
M chassis beauty to me were the scale bodies.. RWD bodies on RWD chassis and FWD bodies on FWD chassis. |

But that will take away from the the beauty of Tamiya M-Chassis cars. It sounds good but I wouldn't like it. .02:tire:
