I ve only found one gearing app which is quite handy. It lets you set up as many cars as you want.. then just enter battery type, wheels diameter and internal drive ratios to be able to calculate FDRs and theoretical speeds.

What kind off app where you looking for ?
I always have many idea's, but little time....
I'm working on a hardware based timer for 12th scale racing where front tires are soaked shorter then rear tires. In the timer you can either just start the timer and it will tell you when to soak the front tires, or enter a time for your heat and it will tell you when to soak the rears and fronts.
I did it in hardware since I wanted to play with Arduino, but might as well make it for a laptop (that everybody has with him ;-) or an Android app.

Good choice on phone
I think Android app development in general is a little bit behind IOS (Iphone), but its catching up rather quickly.
I would love to see a tekin hotwire app for Android

The RC Gearing App is the only one I could find, had my Droid about two weeks now and it's fantastic.
What I and a few guys want here, is a timing app that will read/log timing off a wireless networked AMB/MyLaps decoder, programs exist for using on a laptop, but it would be super cool to have it on your Android phone.

I know one un co-ordinated 1/12th racer who would welcome your app if you bring it out to work on a linux os or even as a java/flash web app?

I can fix you something easy in Python which should run on any linux machine.
PB me some specifications what you would like to see.

you don't need an app for gearing, gearchart.com works great mobile

lol so true we have a browser1 so gearchart.com works! but in the slim case where u have no service an app would be nice
i found that app listed above.. its ok.
I would like the following:
-hobbywing/speedpassion software
-Tekin software
-Losi software
-Novak software
-gear chart
-car setup app that is loaded with sheets from all the major brands, a one stop setup program
i think we would need micro usb to micro usb to make the softwares work.
