OFNA z-10 on-road 4wd Sedan

Hello, I have yet to find an update post on this so ill try again... I have an old school OFNA z-10 on-road 4wd electric car.. Im tryin to get ahold of spare parts and possibly a manual... The car is still complete yet id like to know if i can go brushless with it and what pinon/spur gear ratio would be good for it.. Im considering throwing on some dirt tires and messing around on a rally style track with it.

if i remember correctlyi think nitrohouse.com used to carry parts for those cars and the rally version of the z10. i would email them and see if they still have any stock of parts for it. and yes you can go brushless but it depends what motor you get to determine what gear ration to use and email ofna and see if they can send you a manual and look at what the internal ratio of the car is to determine what spur and pinion need to be used.

I believe the steering knuckles and front c-hub are the same as the current JL10. I still have two of the z-10's and one nitro version. The arms I think can also be interchanged with the ob4. But this will require the ob4 hubs as well which might be worthwhile because it would then have a pillow-ball suspension. If you break a part and can't find a replacement, PM me, I might have an extra or a sustitute part.

I've emailed ofna with no response other than an automated one. Over a two week period ive sent 3 emails with no response.. The item im most concerned about with this car is the belt for the 4wd, seems to be the weakest link considering how long its been sitting in a box.

I have a 15 turn brushed motor left over from an HPI Blitz that i will likely use for the time being until i can actually get a hold of some sort of manual. I have a 51T Spur and a 18T pinion that i was curious as to its performance?

The next question would be how well would the 10th scale castle sidewinder 4600kv brushless esc/motor combo work?

Your car is a copy of the Yokomo YR4 in general. I know Yokomo caster blocks used to fit, so if you run across any hobby shops with old Yoke stuff, that might be another route. Not everything was the same, however.

The Part number for the belt is 37970
If you need a copy of a manual PM me a fax number.
You can also get some of those parts at rcdeal.com
