Thumbs up Super "E"s

Hey Chris - I was wondering if the E-MAXX motors would fit. I have been running a 10 Turn REEDY Ti and a 12 Turn REEDY Ti and the 12 has been the best on run time and brushes. We all were using the brushless and got really sick of the thermal problems. I heard a rumor that you could cut the blue wire on the brushless and get rid of that problem!! I never had the guts to try it though, expensive system to be cutting wires off of. I also had the old 2 speed but gav it away and never tried it.

Default Carbon goodies

Hey Chris, Do you know a way for us to get some of the carbon goodies for our cars now?? Do you have any connections in Japan for any of us to access???

Not really, I had to wait a long time to get mine through work channels. I would say contact one of the larger/better hobby shops in Japan or find someone who can translate and get it shipped here. That would be faster for everyone. I can track down the part #'s.
Other option is to make it here, Penguin RC in Anahiem, Ca will do it I think, group several orders together to pay for it.
All of the aluminum hop ups are from the old RS4 PRO, so thats the same stuff you kept right?? Those parts are getting harder and harder to come by too so scoop up whatever you find.

Talking

Good deal. Part numbers wold be good just in case. So you think Penguin would make some parts for us? They must have a minimum order or something. Yeah I have some aluminum parts left still so I can use those up.

Thanks buddy!!

It wont hurt to ask them. In the past they told me they can make parts for customers needs. I'm not 100% sure today.
Part numbers coming up.

Talking Snowed out

Well, This is an expected first!!! NO racing due to snow.... I have certainly called it for rain and for a Hail storm, but never for snow. Hopefully some of you will be able to make the meeting at Aplhy's Pizza next Saturday.

Other than the freak accident upper deck incident, I broke my first part. I was crusin along at around 55 (7S on 8 cells). When the rear end got a little loose (too many donuts, not enough tire :-p) and the rear end hit a car tire VERY hard. I thought the whole thing must be broken. It was the rear bulkhead that busted open, not bad all things considered!

I got a new bulkhead in today, and I will be taking it down to a state race this weekend to see if Warp Speed Racing can make me an upper deck.

Unhappy January 22nd Cancelled - Rain

After a perfectly dry night it started raining around 8:15am so I packed up and came home. I guess we'll look forward to February 26th for our next Pre-Season race date.

Talking Gear Options

I am running a 48 pitch gear set with a 87 Spur and depending on the length of track, a 22-25 pinion. It seemed to be a good range and heat wasn't too bad in the motor. I hope that helps you!!
