Talking Supply and demand

I guess I don't understand the costs then....How do AE and HPI do them for so much less?? They make and sell huge quantities. Does he have that ability because no one makes the carbon chassis for the electric super as far as I know.....You would think he could make some money especially if he had a thread here to reach people all over the country. The way I see it is he will be doing a custom job for you/us if he does it and he has no intentions of mass producing it, right? We have a machinist that races with us and he has made us some heat sink motor plates and only charged all of us $20.00 even. I suppose aluminum is cheaper then carbon fibre but I don't know.

in General, aluminum is much cheaper than carbon fiber, about 1/2 the price. no time to type anything else right now. I will later.

Has anyone here ever found any HPI carbon fibre upper or lower decks for the Super Electric anywhere?

Post Series Updates

Hey buds, get your Super "E"s out were gonna be racin' soon!!

ESLROC Silver Cup Series Updates
January 8th 2005 we will attempt to make our first pre-season race if the rain will stay away yet, it may be pretty cold.

January 15th 2005 we will have a series meeting to discuss the events of this coming season. Let me know if you can make it to the race or the meeting. If enough people can make the meeting, I will go ahead and reserve the banquet room at Alphy's.

Hey guys. I am going to see if Warp Speed racing can make me an Upper deck, since he is local it would be easy.

I also got a new Starluck RC Feigao 7S Motor for it.

Also got a PTI Porsche 962 body.

I want good racing itres though, where to get them?

The race track is what I like, but the probelm is the white paint lines on the asphalt, they seem to mix with the track layout and this makes confusion while driving.

Cool Not a problem

The white lines have neve really been a problem for me personally. The one thing we did last year is we had only three track layouts. Everyone got used to the track and must have made it much easier.

Hey guys,
I have read most of this thread and I thinks it great that the Supers found some support in the US. I have a Super and its all tricked out with all of the carbon goodies and aluminum kit too. The secret is that all of the good stuff comes from Japan. HPI Japan released this kit and the US was a test market so all of the good HPI parts are over there. I have the factory carbon parts for my car since I worked there and they are sweet. I wish Penguin RC would pick up the ball and make some parts too. They make nice stuff. The other good news is that you can use the Electric 2 Speed from your old RS4's to help out with the bottom end so you get the best over all gearing. Bet you forgot all about that bit of kit didnt you?? The problem is that its out of production so you have to find a company willing to remake this option part. Aside from that you will continue to fight the hi temps and burnt coms. I have run mine with a 7T for 5 min no worries on the track.

Have you guys tried the 550 motors for the EMAX? They fit just fine and they have more torque than the 540's do. Trinity makes it and they are not very expensive.
