Been looking for Sorex tires, and was hoping someone knew where and when to be able to get them. I am hoping for 36R not mounted!!

They are out of stock everywhere. Hong Kong does not even have them. You can get 28's, but those wont do any good rite now :lol:.

28's. High bite, you might be able to get away with 32s. The useful life of Sorex tires on carpet is pretty short. The first two or three runs are great, but they fall off quickly after that. Most of the guys here have switched to Jaco Blues for this reason. Not as fast (0.2 to 0.3 slower), but more consistent for 30 - 40 runs.

Unmounted will be a bit more difficult, but Sorex seem easy to find in the UK;

Check out the SweepUSA website. Or ask your local hobby shop to open an account and order today. Shipping usually takes 2-3 days max to get in your hands. The Sweep EXP 36 tires are comparable to the Sorex 36 and available both unmounted and mounted.

Agreed there, but I would recommend 20s. 28 are too cold (maybe in hot climate would work, but even here in Australia we never get too much out of them). In winter you really need 20s. Depends on class too. More power means you need the grippier you can get.

My assumption is that he is running carpet indoors, so I would go with 28s. Even with 24s we were getting excessive traction rolling, so I couldn't imagine running 20s. Plus, KWT-NITRO lists his location as Kuwait, so I would guess cold temps aren't a problem.

Wish I could agree.... The EXP 36 weren't even close to Sorex 36 or even 40 as far as grip goes. Though they look like they'd last forever forever.

I tried sweeps, and was not too impressed. I have checked all the sites that you all have listed, and if they have 36r, they are mounted, not what I want.

Owen RaCing 08-02-2010 12:20 PM

Hmmm.. I need something to run on while Sorex gets tires made. Sucks to hear that the Sweeps are not as good.
