Default 17.5 motor

I just received a 17.5 1C spec Murfdogg brushless motor to run in 12th scale, and I've had nothing but problems with this motor.

It stalls from a dead stop, coggs and is way slow. I changed sensor wires, reduced "boost and turbo" settings on my Tekin ESC and changed gearing to try to fix the problem. I did not change the timing on the motor either.

All my other 17.5 motors from Trinity, ORCA and Speed Passion run strong with no problems.

Is there anything else I can do to fix this problem? or do I have a $100 dollar paper weight.

since you are using a tekin did you use the onboard sensor checker to make sure the sensor is working

Default Nope

I didn't try that yet. If the sensor is gone can it be replaced?

I have had the sensor board go bad in my speed control before but if all your other motors work then I would "PM" Matt directly to see what can be done.

Smoke is talking about the sensor board in the motor, not the speedo.

I would check the sensor with the onboard checker like smoke said. I had a duo 1 go bad and do exactly what you are saying. It can be fixed.

Please do not be so negative Greg.... I hope that if anyone has any issues with my products, that they contact me directly instead of posting questions about their new $100 paperweight.

Sounds like a hall sensor went out. It happens.... with all brands of motors.

Send it in to me so I can diagnose the problem.

Greg,
Received your motor today, hooked it up to the magical motor machine, which told me that the sensor board was bad. Replaced it, hooked her up to the machine again, and all 3 sensors were firing correctly. I put her on the dyno, and she sang! I packaged her back up, and she is ready to rock!
