Default Ko Vantage Esprit II Type R Questions?

im just about to stretch my budget and buy myself this radio. However i have always run standard Futaba s3003 servo's. My budget wont stretch far enough at the moment to buy any type of new servo and i wondered if i will be ok running the radio and reciever with a standard servo?
I've heard that its the same reciever as the new Helios, and that it will just smoke anything but a digital servo? I've also heard that you can change modes so that it wont or something, im pretty confused and i wondered if anybody can shed any greater light on my problem?

The KR302 reciever will work with analog servos unlike the futaba.
I use KO 2004 servos with mine without drama.
It's only if you want to use the High Speed Response (HSR) you will need the digital servos
