we're definitely going to have to find out that gentleman's name, eh ...
i had good time catching up with some of you that i haven't seen in a bit, and meeting some new faces as well. it's awesome to see guys and gals heading in from 8 or more hour drives to join us. that speaks volumes, and we all hope it's well worth the efforts. every year the racing gets cleaner, louder, and in my view, more fun. we're either getting a better crowd, or simply starting to learn that it's just as much about putting on a show as it is about our taking home a win. either way, it was a total blast for me to be a part of.
once again, the racing was crazy. i saw a lot of noteworthy driving all weekend. from young kids with a lot of potential, to the veterans who refuse to lie down, to the factory guys showing us how one corner can change everything. just. good. stuff.
congrats to everyone on their winnings or simply for meeting their personal goals for the weekend. i hope each of you enjoyed the 'uniqueness' that the halloween classic brings your way.
hard to believe we've got 8 of them under our belt now, since 'the gate' was born in 2002.
thanks to the local guys that have enough persistence to keep weathering the storm ... so that we can continue to bring this race your way again and again.
i hope to see many of you at msi for the 2nd leg of the series... (and a little more nonsense).
