A good rubber tire setup for parking lot bashing?
 

I have searched on the boards, and can not get a straight answer....so i will ask this question:

I will be bashing/parking lot racing for a while, while i learn to drive my new T1R w/11x2 motor, and I need to get a set up inserts and tires. I love runnig foams on my M18, but I am not sure if foams will be the best setup for the larger 10th scale car.

So....Do i go with Foams or Rubbers? What would be a good setup for my parking lot racing needs on each?

The best way to learn how to drive a car is on the track...Parking lot isn't gonna do a whole lot for your skill unless you have a track setup and some buddies to practice with.....

Track racing & "bashing" are totally different...Track racing is a bit harder BUT makes bashing look stupid :nod:

BTW: CS-27's are good....enjoy the motor

Go with foams, you will have more traction with foams and the car will be easier to manuever but note foams will "chunk" meaning if you hit a pipe, board or whatever lines out the track hard enough you will knock chunks out of the foam tire and this will affect performance of the foam but nothing noticable for a beginner. There's also concequences with rubber tires as if you hit a pipe or board hard enough you can warp or punch out the center hex of the wheel. Unless you buy premounted rubber tires you will have to assemble your own where 1/10th scale foams come preassembled.

What I think he meant by that is he will be learning 1/10th scale sedan racing.
