No kidding...I hate California...

racenut123 06-02-2004 07:19 AM

Why? because the beaches are better then in Virginia?

This race will be fun.Isnt the Losi offroad race on the East coast all the time?Life sometimes just isnt fair. :(

Only Losi cars allowed? or is any car from other manufacturers allowed?

James Nguyen 06-02-2004 11:14 AM

Any car but if you place in the top 3 in open or 19 class you get a special prize.

Nah...because I used to live there.

Reasons I hate the Peoples Republik of Kalifornia:

1. Gas...it costs WAY too much

2. Property taxes and real estate prices are insane. A 3 bedroom 2 bath basic ranch-style house in southern Sacramento goes for $250,000 on the low side of things.

3. Electricity...see #1

4. San Francisco...Enough said

5. LA...Enough said (Although I really loved the movie 'Heat' )

6. Silliest / most restrictive gun-control laws in the USA...yet per capita has the hishest rate of gun-related crime.

7. Emissions and general EPA laws require alot of $$$ to keep vehicles legal during inspection.

8. A pack of smokes is like $5.50

Now...If I was rich and could actually afford to live there...I'd love it because it really is a beautiful state. Plus you guys have the best on-road tracks in the nation...

So...again...if I was rich...I'd love to move back...

Funny thing is almost all of the things mentioned are reasons californians hate california.

Can we clarify the Factory Mod issue? What constitutes a factory driver for this event?Because there are full rides that run factory all the time anyway and there are 50% drivers that may want to run 19turn.Does it mean if you have any sort of car sponsorship your a "factory" driver? Maybe someone like Todd Hodge or someone from LOSI can clarify this.

rc-zombies 06-02-2004 01:13 PM

you may want to contact Billy at Speedworld for clarification on "factory driver"

James Nguyen 06-02-2004 01:28 PM

Billy told me that a "Factory Driver" is anyone who is paid to win or has their travel and race expenses covered by any major manufacturer. Also handout motors for 19t have not yet been set but will probably be from Trinity.
