I wanted to know if there is a formula for mixing oils.

Say if i had 1000wt diff oil & 5000wt diff oil and i mixed them what other wt's could i get, and what amount of each would i need to get what numbers. any help would be good, thanks

I am wanting around 2000wt if posible.

the reason is i wanted to try it out tomorow, and no one local to me has it.

Page 26 will show you a chart and formula. 2000 cst is pretty widely used, Kyosho, Mugen, Xceed, Serpent, and Xray all sell it.

If all you require is 2000wt, just mix 1000wt with 1000wt.

3 drops 1000wt and 1 drop 5000wt would do an 2000wt.

That is a frickin' rad post! I have never though of mixing oils to get different weights of oils... !

The only thing you ahve to check, is "weight" is not a linear scale, and varies between manufacturers. "cst" is a linear scale and would be the ideal choice for mixing proportions, e.g. 50/50 mix of 1000cst and 3000cst will give you 2000cst.

What brands have a good reputation of using accurate cst ratting and sell diff oil?

I use much more shock oil which i think might be cst but they dont seem to have higher numbers for diff's , i dont think.
