LRP X12 + Tekin RS
 

Anybody have expirence with this combo? Motor is 17.5T..
I have this in order, just wondering if somebody can reccomend me ESC settings to start (shall recieve hotwire as well), and also ideal gearing (tracks are small - medium size, asfalt, rubber tyres, lipo corally 5200mAh 40C), car is Xray T2008, now with 38 front / rear pulleys, 20T medium pulleys.
And also there is big warning on motor to not use agressive timing on ESC´s - should i be worried to use this with Tekin?

Look at Barry Baker's 13.5 settings. Gear 116 spur 30 pinion.

Search the Tekin thread. I know I posted a 17.5 X12 setup in there.

Ok i get reccomendation of FDR between 7,1 - 7,4 so that fits, thanks i´ll try.

On a fairly large track (20 sec lap times) last week we ran a 6.98 fd, with 4 dot insert. Boost at 45, turbo at 10, ramp 2, delay .1-.2 depending on driver, rpm 15,000-5000. Motor temps were 105-210 with a fan with track temps in the 130's.

That should be a close start depending on your track size.

Could i try even 13.5 settings for my 17.5?
And what servo and lipo battery would you guys reccomend me for my setup?

I use a futaba 9551 low profile servo and SMC 50c lipos for my use. For a smaller track just lower the top rpm and lower to see how it feels and temps.
