Default sharpening chipped Diamond lathe bits

I have a chipped diamond lathe bit.

Is there anyway to sharpen it or the bit is useless?

Sorry you are wrong. I've had the same bit for 10 years. And have had it sharpen two time. Find a good industrial tool sharpening shop. I know there's one in Poway Ca. the name of the place is dia spes inc.

Carter Diamond Tool Company.

They will sharpen bits for you. Their services are resonably priced also. At least they were the last time I had a bit sharpened.

hmm thats odd..... i have tried many times to get one sharpned.. i called tons of places in and out of state.. all of them have told me i had to replace the diamond.. even all of the guys i know have had to do the same.... and im talking over 17 years of racing and info from people to get it done...

do u have a number or website for the sharpening place.. i have 3 that i need done... the cost to get them re tipped was not worth it so i got a new one.. i even tried a jewlery place to see if they could sharpen one...
