Anyone tried their tires on the regular rims? The see-though-ish rims are kind of weak, wondering if the non-lightweight ones are any better.

What compound is the medium carpet equivalent to Jacos? And compared to the foams on lightweight wheels?

So are the regular wheels stronger or not? I have never used Jaco tires/wheels.

The tires that are graded in soft,med, hard etc are the ennetti/xceed version, tires that are graded in colors just like jaco are the jaco/xceed version.

Does anyone have some general shore guides for the Xceed tires so they can sort of be compared to the Jaco and CRC tires?

Exceed tyres come on standard (white) and lightweight (see-through) rims. The white ones are heavier, and possibly, a bit stronger. I've cracked one lightweight rim, but that was a hard hit and all my fault.

Comparing Shore hardness won't help as the Exceed compounds are quite different. Use the Exceed tyres for what they are, and not for how they compare. They are a more stable tyre than Jaco yellow and pink, so they can be used at larger diameters and still give good handling.

I find they have more grip than Jaco although they are harder. Exceed tyres are probably one or two tenths a lap slower (according to my tame top-ten driver!) than Jaco, but I find them more consistent and easier to drive. Quite a few people I race with have switched to Exceed and are getting better wear, less chunking and more consistent grip. Medium both ends seems to work for me when the grip is up, soft rear when it's gone missing! HTH

Are these tires only for carpet or are they good on asphalt as well?

There is a carpet and an asphalt version.

The lightweights are no longer produced. Now only regular and carbon rims.

Do check trackwidth as the offset is slightly different from jaco.

The latest ones I bought (this month) work with either flanged or unflanged bearings. I've got the latest black wheels, which are sooooo much better than the lightweight (opaque plastic) rims.

Providing that they are the latest black rims, they take either type. However, be aware that if you use two flangeless bearings they will need a spacer between the wheel and the wheel nut on the front axle of a 12th car, as they will leave some of the unthreaded part of the axle exposed! HTH

any recent opinions on these? Looking to pickup some tire sets for a CRC 1/12 XL . Don't know much about 1/12 as far as flanged, unflanged bearing stuff as it pertains to that model (don't have it apart yet.)

I recently tried them out at our track. Grip has been fairly low lately in general and these tires felt at least as good as the other tires I was running given the low grip the track had. For how much less expensive these are than other tires I think they are worth it. The only issue I've had with them is the truing...the fronts are bigger than the rears and they really were not consistent in diameter. You'll definitely want to true them before running them.
