Try using very stiff springs, along with cutting a plus into the positive brush and a vertical line on the negative brush. I heard people calling this the polarity brush set up. For the best result use:

PEAK-PEK2229 Serrated Pro Stock Brush - Sprint Brushes

PEAK- PEK2053 150' Viper Stock Spring Negative
PEK2054 175' Viper Stock Spring Positive

I have 767 with the stock springs on my 19T motor. Gear at 5.88 and 6.19 on my TRF415. There is no binding on the drivetrain and i am using brand new battery. There is no punch at all.

does stiffer springs play a major role on the Reedy 19T?

767 worked pretty good, but I think 4499 E brush were better. We ran stiffer springs as well, anywhere from 10oz and up to around 11.4 oz according to our spring dyno. Also, gear it to the moon, on the cool time of the days, we were geared at 5.79 on the Barracuda and 5.9 when it heat up.

Stock spring on the Reedy 19T varies anywhere from 8 to 8.5 oz.

Well as you know , stiffer springs will give you more torq. but will also ad drag when off throttle .. try to reset your speedo for throttle if its been a while .. I run C2 19t. and found them to have alot of power , but never could get a REEDY19t to have the power i needed...

This is the way I set up the TQ's motor(EJ Evans).......

Reedy 766 brushes......on the positve side it was a plus cut(vertical and horizonal)......on the negitive side just a vertical slot(polarity brushes I call them...plus and minus)...Blackstock and I came up with this set up at the Novak race....

Reedy copper head springs bent to 180 degees both sides works the best...

hope that helps all of you,

Barry

At the risk of sounding dumb; which Reedy 19t was the spec motor? the original silver can 19t spec, or the newer quad mag, flame can design?

I did tweak the springs to get more pressure
