Actually the upgrades are quite nice. Can't wait

Not a bad thing I didn't order new sway bars, I really like the new system as it looks. The system in the caster blocks is not new for me: i find it quite handy.

Great, 5x10 bearings means axles are no longer tc5 compatable dang I just bought my TC6.. Improvements look good though.

According to the parts list on the AE site, these are the new TC6.1 specific parts. Shouldnt be too difficult to upgrade. Sans the Spool and Gear diff, Id bet the parts come out to less than $75.

#31344 - RC10TC6 Gear Diff
#31356 - TC6.1 FRONT ARMS
#31357 - TC6.1 REAR ARMS
#31358 - TC6.1 CASTER BLOCKS
#31359 - TC6.1 REAR HUB CARRIER
#31360 - TC6.1 STEERING BLOCKS
#31361 - TC6.1 OFFSET ARM MOUNTS
#31362 - TC6.1 ANTI ROLL BARS
#31366 - TC6.1 CVA KIT
#31401 - Bearing, 10 x 15mm
#31370 - TC6.1 AXLE CRUSH TUBES (Dont have a photo, so not sure if the CVA kit comes with the new 5mm crush tubes)

Well, seeing as I just finished building a TC6 last week and now this new one is out the only thing that interests me NOW is the TC6.1 OFFSET ARM MOUNTS, just for the increased durability. I have not had near enough time with this car to consider 'upgrading' the whole thing to TC6.1 status. But good on AE making some improvements without building a whole new car.

Im assuming you realize that is the MSRP and not the actual street price?

It boils down to how much you want to spend. There is no reason you can't use the standard TC6 CV axles with the 10x6mm bearings, if you already have a TC6.

That right there will knock $148 off your listed total above.

Ok guys don't fret. I saw this an hour ago and I, just like many got pissed at the fact that I just got my car last Wed. and now this ..... Well contacted AE and they said that the car is to actually have it's own parts "NO MORE TC5 PARTS". I asked about conversion/upgradeability and was told that the new model is a TC6 just with the new parts ...... Looks to me that associated is jumping on the band wagon of say TOP Racing. They change all the suspension parts thus making it cheaper to the end user to have the newer version car without the expense of buying a new kit... Which I think is a fabolous idea.... NOW I FEEL BETTER.....

Yes they did. However the shaft is not bearing supported like the Team Magic. What I like about this is you can buy piano wire from the hobby store and make your own sways.

The sway bar mounts onto the arm the same way as the Serpent S411 which got that design from the 1/10th nitro S733.

Anyone noticed in the pics that despite the narrow chassis design, they're still able to fit a full sized servo on the chassis.

According to the parts list, the chassis has not been changed. It should be the same as the TC6 chassis.
