After my horrible crash in the first final of the last race which destroyed one of the battery braces I decided to do some custom ones on my own. The reasons are:
1. TT needs 1-2 weeks to send spares and I hate to wait.
2. I have to rebuild the car anyway.
3. With my weight placing which only works without the center battery brace and antenna mount I am now able to locate the battery 1.5mm closer to the center without touching the belt.
4. The battery now is better supported and has just a minimum space to move if the tape should detach.
5. I also hope this solution will be stronger in accidents than the oem part

Any advice on rusting screws on my car and tools? Oils?? Gotta love the good ol' state of Florida. HUMIDITY is not my friend.

I hope this car is better on the track then the pain in the ass build, problem after problem! I have built a lot of cars in the 14 years i have been racing and I have to say this TC6 is the WORST!!!!!!!!!

Today the repair/maintenance of my car came to an end. I also concluded my rebuilds. The car has now new Lipo braces, a more centered battery position and carbon arm mount spacers all around.
The final work today was the build and install of a gear diff. I filled it with 1000cst oil and will try it with my unboosted 17,5t electronics on a high grip carpet on friday. I am really curious how it will perform, because I have no experience with gear diffs yet.

No special reason. I tried all the opportunities for the camber link positions this car gives and couldn't make out differences on the clock. So I stayed with this option as it is easy to setup the link degree with shims (and with that an easy way of fine tuning the behaviour of the car) and you can use the long links.

But once it's on track the effort pays off, the car is fantastic. I've never driven anything that has as much high-speed steering as the TC6 while still remaining stable and predictable.
Run the car before selling it, otherwise you will regret it.

Your right Dalebur, I will stick with it! Everybody says how great of a car it is on the track. Rear camber links hit rear shock tower, hinge pins did not fit in arms ,steering knuckles or rear uprights. The instructions are the worst. Sorry to be ranting but I'm letting off a little steam guy's. I'm sure it will be fine thou.
