Anybody else got a place to get a CONUS TC6? Tower / AMain / others say earliest = wait til 2/18-ish, but I'm looking for one (hopefully) earlier than that.

Here is how i managed to mount a SP GT2.1 using a single 2200uF capacitor. I glued it to the fan with CA glue.

do you guys have any problems with the sterring link hitting the antenna and the top plate chassis? Reason I'm asking is I like to drive the car with a full steering and when the setting in the TX is MAX it would hit both.

hi guys, has anybody ran their tc6 in superstock or mod touring. How long do the belt usually last on this car, i was thinking about getting one to run in mod. The 416 seems to really go through belts fast in mod. Thanks

I've been racing it in superstock 2 times a week and I practice with mod one day a week. I've been doing this since the car was released and the belts look brand new.

okay thank you, i believe the reason the 416 chews them up so bad is because it has such a small layshaft pulley, im told they fixed that on the 417 but i dont really feel like spending that much on another car. How is the car on other parts such as outdrive cups?

this is probably a really simple and easy question to answer but I’m struggling with the belt tensioned part. to get 28 do I flip the diff bearing holder so the grooves are at the bottom or do you always keep the groves at the top?

Hopefully someone can explain for me please? I want to set 28 front and 6 rear.

On friday I was driving in Senden (http://www.indoor-racing-senden.de.vu/) again. This time with KH's setup. I had to adjust the front droop to 6mm, because I prefer neutral to oversteering behaviour. The setup asks for a different throttle giving in fast corners that won't work with full throttle. It took me some batteries to adapt, but then it worked great. Even without a geardiff. I was able to reduce my laptimes around 1,5 to 2 tenth (17,5t without boost and a limited gear ration of 5,0). Overall the setup is not as easy to drive as my adapted standard setup, but the laptimes are better.

For those who have to reach an weight limit of 1400gr.: I think this is a good way of locating the weights in the car:



I use a GM 5400 50C battery with 294gr. With it and my X11 17,5 SS, LRP Sphere 2007 esc and my Team Orion Vortex VDS 1009 servo I have to add 130gr. of weight to reach 1400gr. It is recommendable to leave the antenna mount and batterystopper out and mount the weights with the battery in place. Like that the weights can be placed more centered. I have to put 30 grams below my receiver to get the car in balance with my relatively light electric components. Doing it so, the car is in perfect balance front to back and left to right.

Interesting weight setup, you get trouble with the rear belt hitting on the weights?
But wow that track is small, what times are you doing there? I thought averaging 20 seconds per lap was slow


Also what exactly is that blue ring for the servo for? I didn't use mine as I just grabbed the entire servo assembly from my TC5 for the TC6

The belt has its narrow gap to go through without touching.

The track allows laptimes below 10s for 17,5t (non boost) and around 8,5s for modified. Here in Germany we don't have much permanent indoor tracks, because it is often to expensive (rent, heating,...) and mostly used in winter. So I am happy that this track is near my home.

I think the blue ring is for pressing the plastic servoarm around the servo pinion (I don't know the word in english) to prevent the arm from slipping?! I wasn't asking its benefit while mounting. I just use it and hope AE had a reason to produce it.

i've had my tc6 since just before xmass and have been doing well with it at the local clubs, so this weekend i got my self a RS esc and a speed passion 13.5 and changed my gears for the 1st time to 72/33 witch i should be 4.36, the RS is set as out the box as i'm not going to get the hot wire just yet.
can someone tell me if i'm about right, as i've only just started racing after a long time off.

i race on a med size carpet and a small carpet track.
