That's what I thought. Thanks.

The TC6 is now available in the UK... And it is by far the dearest car :-(

It is selling in shops for 380 which is about $590!!

What's going on they are $370 at speedtechrc in the US. Even allowing for taxes etc. that is a mad markup. You can get an xray or the new Scumacher for 350

Unfortunately I feel that it is not right so I have taken the decision to go to Schumacher.

The price in the UK is indeed ridiculous, however there is the option of buying it from Europe, I got mine for 320 euros, and at arrived in less than a week.

I have ran it once so far and it might actually be worth the UK price, straight out of the box it is faster than my TC5 which I raced for 2 years. Its corner speed and handling is exceptional. Still need to work on the setup to get it where I want it, but I know for sure it will be faster and more consistent than my TC5 was, even with all the aftermarket mods.

regards

Neal

I have been racing with one of the team drivers at my club and his car does look really good - seems to have bags more grip.

But I do not see how it can go from the the cheapest car to the dearest. Just seems strange to me.

I now have my Mi4 and it is very good and a lot easier to drive than my TC5R - is it better than the TC6 - time will tell but I am really enjoying it

Good luck with the new car guys....

It is because the car is successful in Great Britain I would say. In Germany TT is happy if somebody still has an AE TC... Someone wants to make some extra money with its success.

Has anybody that pre-ordered their chassis from Speed Tech R/C received one yet? I was in my LHS today and they had one there for $389. Just wondering?

So where is everyone starting with setups on this car? Mine will be here tomorrow and trying to decide whether or not to start with the kit setup or one of the setups posted on AE site.

What is the correct Gear Diff that will work in the TC6?

Is it one of these: http://www.spec-r.com/specrr2/module...=index&cPath=7

Hi,

the gear diff I have been running is a spec R Diff from a yokomo BD5. The actual Yokomo gear diff is very good as well.

If you guys have any question regarding LRP, Reedy or TC6 please feel free to send me a PM ! I will be more than happy to answer.

Keven

The UK price is totally mental; presumably all of the cars are sent out from China to the rest of the world, which is why Australia got them first (as they are closest). So the shipping cost of getting them to the UK is no different than getting them to the US, and 17.5% VAT doesn't account for the difference.

I'll be getting one anyway as to me it's the best kit available, and it comes with all the bits I want (steel driveshafts, lipo chassis, alloy diff, awesome shocks) so its 400 all-in.

If you "save" 50 on a Schumacher you'll soon spend it by replacing all of the driveshafts once they've snapped. Save 50 on an X-Ray and you'll spend it on alloy shocks.

You get what you pay for... its just that you pay an extra 50% for everything if you live in the UK!

The Yokomo branded diff is of MUCH higher quality. You can feel and see the difference in your hands.
