Any reason the TC6.1WC wouldn't be a good car for a first time builder? Not new to RC or building models, but never built an RC before.

Tower has been showing them in stock for a couple of days. I pre-ordered mine from Speed Tech RC. They are showing them in stock as well, but mine hasn't shipped yet. I'm getting anxious!

Nah. Piece of cake. I prefer to build all of my cars. It helps me understand better everything that is going on with it and how it works. Plus, they're just fun to build! I am just getting back into it, but I've built seven or eight Team Associated vehicles in the past. Their instructions were always very clear. I can only imagine that it's even better now.

suggestion anyone,

Beth.
I have been adding extra wire to the capacitor, this has let me move the capacitor on top of the receiver or the servo. Just run the thin wire next to the speedo. Glue down and never worry about it again.

Also suggest running the transponder wire under the servo horn (a little glue and never moves) then route wire under suspension mounts.

I have placed an order for the TC6.1WC from Tower and it is reported shipped already. No tracking number yet but they say 1-2 days for that.

It has been shipping to US customers but depending on demand it is possible some dealers no longer have them in stock and are waiting for their next shipment.

It is not complicated to build and you don't need to hand fit anything to make it right. Plus if you have problems you can easily contact AE's customer service department if you encounter any problems.

Juho has been running this same basic setup since the Worlds. He has run on carpet and asphalt on Ride, Sorex, and Jaco tires. The car really responds well with this setup and I think it is a good place to start. I ran something very close to win the ROAR Nats (on Solaris tires).

We are not sure why this is good but even going back to the TC5 days we set up the car this way.

For the setup start with the Keven Herbert carpet setup as starting point.
Do you drill a hole at the bottom of each hub for the grubscrews?

Default got my my worlds car kit

got it last night from a local dealer... I started the build I would say i was somewhat disappointed specially the front and rear bulk heads first of all the color was off it was lighter in color it really looked like it was a part that came from remotest part of china. The second issue was the machining of it was very rough compared to the other parts of the car, it so ugly that you see machine cuts on the metal it was like they did not even polish it, maybe sanding it down would even be better ... I emailed AE support about it hope they fix this issue
