Got some links?

Curious how did you calculate 1350kv is approximate 10.5 turn?

this chart makes it out to be 3200kv

http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-c-xerun-120a-sd.html

I ask this because I have a 3800kv in my SC10 4X4
and
I have a 2200kv in my 1/8 scale Truggy.

My 2200KV is a lot more powerful. Wouldn't 1350kv be a lil beastly for this lil ole TC6? But, I have a feeling that Turn and KV are a lil more complicated than what I am making it out to be. Go ahead boys, chop and dice the Nitro Guy/Electric NEWB

The 2200 is probably a bigger motor can than 1/10, so even a lower kV would be more powerful........

Quick question, sorry if it has been covered. I searched through the thread but couldn't find for sure confirmation.

Does the TC6 come with the "hard" suspension parts? I am going to place an order for some spares...

Also, do most non-timing 17.5 guys run 64p or 48p gears? This is specifically for outdoor/asphalt if it makes a difference.

Yes hard.

Not sure on the pitch.

Novak rates their 10.5T as 4200Kv, so other brands are probably similar (not sure why Hobbywing says theirs is only 3200). Even though your local track doesn't have motor rules, I strongly suggest that you get an ESC that supports sensored motors, in case you ever decide to race where a 17.5 is the required "stock" motor. Castle's Mamba Max Pro can run sensored, but it has a problem with some brands of servo pulling too much current and causing its voltage regulator to shut down.

I kinda don't believe him though . The track we run at don't really care whats under the hood, so a TC6 would be ran under like "1/10 sedan" I assume. Its pretty much "outlaw" class. Local fast guy suggested a 10.5 turn motor. I really want to get a Castle ESC and Motor but I don't know what the equivalent KV measured motor would be. Can you suggest something close to 10.5 turn. Thanks
Sorry my friend but I do not know Castle's product... I would recommend Revtech 10.5 with a the LRP or Tekin ESC, but that just me...

Hard.

64 or 48 depends on the quality of the surface. 48 for parking lot, 64 for purpose built small grain asphalt. Start around 4.0 FDR, check temps, get a fan.

No difference in performance, 64P gives you more fine adjustments, but you better have your gap set correctly and if you pick a stone (parking lot) 48P is more forgiving....

You can set the gap with a piece of paper, it will create the proper gear mesh....
