part-time racer

As the title would suggested, we are hoping to race on a concrete surface which is nice and smooth but none of my fellow racers have driven our cars on this type of surface.

Can anyone help and give advise, like does it make a good surface to race on ?
What tires are used?
We also have a decent number of mini drivers that use foamed tires and wgt guys, does foam on concrete?

Thanks your help on this guys as where due to start racing on the 20th!

And setup your car with the "more cornering traction" options. I have a TC3 and TC4 setup nearly the same and my traction on concrete is pretty good with VTA tires and HPI X-pattern Pro Compounds, respectively.

As for springs, you may need to go a little softer to help with traction.

As for track prep, use a leaf blower and blow the dust off the track. If you can, spray it with cheap soda pop to help keep the dust down.

How about slick tires, do you know of any that work particularly well on this surface?

Is it a sealed concrete surface? Having raced on one of these indoors it is very slippy - Schumacher minipins would be the tyre.

In general, concrete roads are not as grippy as asphalt roads, so I would expect to need a softer compound tyre, and maybe a grade softer on the suspension settings.

I tried once on a go cart track. It is fairly slick including the fact it was dusty. The track was almost un drivable on slicks. I tried again with the x patterns mentioned above and got a bit more grip. But then I kited the car shortly after.
