Did you already timed each run you done on having diff pinion gears??.. Its one of the best thing you consider first after selecting the best motor you like to run in your kit...

i havent even got my car yet all i know is i want it to go faster than it does stock and i thought a lower turn motor would be best for that

Yup! you will definitely go faster if you run a lower turn motor in your kit and if you want to gain more/faster change the pinion gears 1 or 2 teeth up as prescribe in the manual.. But don't over gear your motor co'z it will heat up fast...
