Ben,
As you noticed the included paper work doesn't give a USA address and the LRP site is poor on where to get support. But........ on the outside of the box, mine had a sticker that said to contact Associated for sevice. I went to their site found a form and mailed the ESC off to them last weekend. They recieved it on 12/6.

Still haven't go it back yet though. Geeze its been 3 whole days.

Are you counting weekends in that? If they received on 12/6... then they probably didn't open until end of that week.. then they test it.. so even if you count the business days, it only been about 8 business days or less since your post.

I have shipped stuff back to Tower before and it takes them 30 days to just process your return... and it is the busiest time of the season, i'm sure they will take care of you.

Cool bummer

set my lrpv2 up for 17.5 and boy was i dissapointed....no where close to my black diamond for 12th scale.....i put both my crcxl,s against time on eachother and by far the lrp just doesnt crank hard enough....same setups on both cars and still was almost two seconds faster...i was really hoping for something good from theme....

The SXX v2 is for Mod NOT stock.

You need the SXX "Stock spec" for stock.

For 12th scale and 17.5... you should have gotten the Stock Spec, not the TC-spec. The Stock Spec has profiles specific for stock racing.. TC-spec is for Mod.

Hi Chris,
I really didn't expect to hear from them until after the holidays. Just bumping the thread. I have used LRP hardware for awhile and don't expect to change over one hiccup on a new controller design.

In mod, boost and feel aren't really relied on or necessary as much as in boosted classes. I imagine you will base your decision on brakes, overall smoothness, etc. With that, I would stick with LRP.

Ok, so for spec ramping I need the SXXss. I'm going to assume that is because the SXXSS is the only one of the 3 that has timing ramping profiles.

But between the SXXTCspec and SXXcomp is the only difference the heat sink?

The only other thing I have notice is the TCspec has a lower motor turn limit of 3 where the XX and comp have a limit of 4.5.

But let's pretend I'm going to run a mod motor of 5.5 and no lower, with no ramping profile set, will these 3 ESC run the same?

I'm just trying to fully understand what the purpose of these 3 ESC's are. I'm going to get one, just need to know what I am getting. Right now if I'm content with not running a 3.5 it seems like there is no purpose to the other 2 ESC's. But that doesn't make sense. Why would LRP put two ESC's out where the only advantage is to be able to run a 3.5 motor?

Thanks

Hi guys, I just bought a SXX comp v2 and I have few questions.
What is the max operating temp?
How many flash (from internal temp check) will be a safe temp for the ESC?
Is it always safe to run the ESC as long it doesn't shut off itself due to temp?

Thanks

No I run mod and stock with my Tekin and with the V212 the speedo is fast. I run Dual mode and I can use a 6,5 against the 5,5 in a 1:10 tc and still keep up. same top speed and acceleration but with lower motor temps.

For me there will be no LRP any more.
The SXX ss stop running one by one and the SXX tc is better but to slow to keep up with my Tekin and GM.

Look ad the ETS race in the Netherlands to Hara. He is using a GM.

mine too, brand new sitting there waiting for me to have time to send it in.
Wonder if we could just buy the usb when it comes out and update/fix ourselves?
Wish LRP would say something about this and/or a date when the software update stuff is coming
