If anyone could take a few measurements with a caliper, it would be greatly appreciated.
We need:
Length, uncompressed
Spring outer diameter
Wire diameter
Number of coils, not counting the very top and bottom where the spring is closed and ground
From there we can find the lb/in spring rate.

This is the RC4Less spring for Losi8, package comes with spring rates of 12 through 22. (I don't have the standard kit springs)
I have the Gold one at hand (spring rate 16).. the package comes with

OK great, thanks Raman! With those measurements the calculated value is 15.5 lb/in, which is pretty close to the 16 lb/in they rated it at, accounting for rounding and measurement error.
So now I'm mainly looking for these measurements on the Ofna and Kyosho springs. The Losi and RC4LESS springs are already rated in lb/in, but it would be nice to find these values for Ofna and Kyosho.

EDIT: I also wanted to note that Revo springs are the same diameter and length as the IGT springs, and should work fine on the IGT shocks. There is a wide variety of spring rates available (16.5 to 36.5 lb/in) for those looking for more adjustability or firmer springs.

Got a weird problem with my IGT2 Vette. I'm running some OFNA threaded rubber and I've noticed that despite returning the entire dampening system back to factory specs, I still get this grove on the INSIDE track of the front wheels. This grove is approximatey the last ~5mm of the surface area of the tire, just before where the inside side wall meets the surface section. It's almost as if the tires are folding in and rubbing on the sidewall (it is actually a lip that's formed into the wheel that can't be seen unless the tire is removed). This only occurs on the two front wheels and unfortunately, it's been occuring despite several different types of wheels to include OFNA slick and tread, and Inpinema's so I don't think it has anything to do with the actual tire. Last year I just summed the cause up to me running a heavy car (was using 4S2P 8000mah) but I've cut the weight WAY down and I'm practicing with single 4S 4000 or a single 6S 3300 packs.
I running < 2 deg camber so I'm wondering if Toe-in has anything to do with it?

Has anyone used an Xray 808E to make one of these GT cars? Im very interested in doing this but want to drive an Xray!! From what I can tell I would need different shocks and shock towers. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Too much camber, or too much caster, or maybe both. I would take some camber out first (stand the tire up). If they still wear on the inside, the caster angle is too great (remove shims from in front of the upper arm.) It does not take much to make a difference. If the car does not handle as well, put it back and live with the wear.
