I did it myself, first time using a milling machine, I've done some lathe work before, boring the hole for the bearing is the hardest part, everything after
that is easier.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, haha. I have no experience with 1/8th scale stuff, is there any one go-to motor? Or maybe just one to avoid?

I like the Tekin 2650 running it in sensor mode is the way to go. It makes it a lot easier drive.

Joat, that looks amazing!. I like how you have that cf top plate to tie the chassis together for more rigidity. Do you think those pieces would fit a dm1-sped ?. Would love to get something like for my dm1.

Probably not, the orginal gtp's where setup like that, it is stiff, even with my cnc 4mm chassis there alot of flex, the newer ones have the braces to the chassis and I know theres got to be alot of flex, dont know why they changed it, if I had one or an exact copy of the mounting locations / clearence to items I could do it, but SNR would be better for it he has cnc, mine is basically hand cut on my mill.

I'm almost finished with my hot bodies ve8 setup, but have a question. I also have a slash....are most gt8tracks allowing them to run with the big gt8's? How are they being motored/geared/classed?
