Damn Jai!!! That's looks great!!! One thing though, it makes your GT8 look smaller as compared to what you had last weekend on there. Did you have to do any trimming on the front foam bumper??

Do any of you guys use ABS braking functions on your Tx with your 1/8 GT's? I have a Nomadio Sensor Tx, and I never setup ABS before on my off-road vehicles, but now I think it may be beneficial to look into for on-road. Or is it just a gimmick? Or only useful for mechanical brakes?

just turn down the brake percent on your esc. i tried abs before on my nitro and i never noticed any difference, so i just turn down the brake epa.

To me it seems like comparing a mechanical brake servo to ESC motor braking is kind of an apples to oranges deal. The brake servo has to physically move back and forth, and relative to an ESC the effect is quite slow. The ESC motor braking is all electronic, and will be able to pulse much faster than a brake servo can move (I think the limiting factor will actually be how fast the Tx transmits the signal). On my Nomadio Sensor the default pulse time is 0.10 seconds, but it can be set as low as 0.01 seconds.

I guess the obvious thing to do is try with and without ABS and see if there is any noticeable effect. But if anyone has experimented with ABS using ESC motor brakes feel free to chime in.

The biggest hurdle in converting is the shock towers. Kyosho, Losi, and Jammin buggies are easily converted due to the Inferno GT, L8ight, and the OFNA GT cars having buggy siblings and the parts are interchangeable.

We are working with a company and will have shock towers available for the RC8 duo, Hot Bodies duo, and the Mugen Duo soon.

Other parts that are easily converted that you need are the shocks, front bumper, and body mounts. If you are converting a truggy, then you will need the buggy siblings arms and driveshafts.

Most times it is easier to go with the GTP2e, for the price, you can't beat it.

Kcunamay, now you have to let us know about performance of the body. Personally i felt the car WAY MORE PLANTED with the Alpha RC Body (that 1/8 R2 is based on Peugeot RCZ, not Audi ) ... you will feel lots of rear downforce traction, hope you like it, the paint job looks amazing.

cya !

Hey Tabushi,

Thanks! I'll be able to provide some feedback in a couple of weeks. I look forward to running with it.

You're right it is a Peugot RCZ. Thanks for the heads up. WOW. It really looks great in real life too.
