My GTP pulled a peak of 2668W with a 4s pack over the weekend. Tires were run down Ofna blue foams. Basically I was doing burnouts, speedruns and power sliding. This also posed a problem with the ESC. My voltage dropped twice to 8.55V for 0.002 of a second and the RX8 didn't respond. I only had 5 led's on, so I didn't thermal. Impressive on the RX8 part to detect that V-drop that fast.

So I found the Acepow 4s pack limitation with my 1.5D 1515 2700kv motor and 47/28 gearing. I can however ease on the throttle and not have the lipo cutoff trip.

Datalogger used was the new Eagletree V4 which has the 50hz logging capability. Connectors are EC5. RX8 has 3 extra caps. Motor plugs are 6mm.

Brushless tires is 4 gr per pair more weighted when compared with the Non Brushless tires.

So basically, we recommend the Brushless tires only to brushless car's because when you push full throttle in a EP Car , the acceleration is more brutal than the GP Car's ,so you need a different tire to suport the force of your car to the wheels .
Are there any photos on what these tires look like?? Do they come premounted? I know they are available at IGT but it would be nice to know what they look like.

I secong that. The crazy part is that I can't find anything on the net about them either. I saw a lot of off-road stuff but nothing for the 1/8th scale on-road

I would say check WWW.IGTHOBBIES.COM, they've got a great selection of lids for 1/8 scale on-road and they also offer free shipping.

The only type of circle track body would be the late model body from OFNA. I will work on getting that on the site as well.

Losi makes a late-model body too, for their L8ight dirt-oval.

Pictures of the alpha tires are up on the site. The brushless tires look the same on the outside, its whats inside the rubber that counts.

You are welcome. I'm always happy to see a great online R/C source and happy to spread the good word to my fellow R/C junkies.

I retired in 2009 after 26 years (it was a great run), my wife is active duty Navy and I have a son whose active duty Air Force. He's stationed in England.

Got my Alpha RC Peugot RCZ body from IGTHOBBIES a couple of days ago and I just finished painting her up. The fitment came out pretty nice!
