Well I currently have an RC8T-E truggy. Is it possible to convert this to onroad GT? Are there any bodies that are large enough to fit this? Is the track of the car too wide for the current bodies? Can custom shock towers be designed for this car?

Any other information would be helpful. I am currently looking to sell the car since I dont have a desire to really run offroad anymore but if I can find a way to run it in an onroad class, that would be awesome!

You would end up spending more than its worth, just buy a used GT or GT2. But I guess if you have enough money anything is possible.

Agreed! Or p/u a DM-1 from Tower Hobbies and use your Super Saver Club coupon for $60 off $300 or more. Boy have I thought of this option so many times. I just don't need another RC car.

http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...b-members.html

$9.99 for the membership which covers 12 months. After that FREE shipping on $150 or more, and the coupon codes above are valid if you are a member of the club. They get sent out to you twice a month usually. Oh and now, they take paypal which is something that kinda killed most of my deals.

If you are in Cali, Free shipping and no tax! It's the Amazon.com of RC. They also carry Tekno RC goodies. (I don't work for any of the above companies, I just enjoy their products and service I swear!)

Set-ups are different for foam & rubber tire use, wouldn't be very accurate.

Our Ipanema GT events are rubber GT racing only and Roar's new GT class are set the same way too.

Your group in SD need to figure out what you wanna do.

Does tower sell the tekno conversion for the DM-1? I can't seem to find it. It would be nice to put all that in one order...free tax and shipping since I am in CA.

Technically this is an OFNA conversion (part number OFNA 40755). As far as I know it's not available anywhere else - not even TeknoRC.

Nice!!! In your opinion, how does the GTP compare to the DM-1? Pros vs. Cons? I had a GTP at one time but never ran it on a track. And it was.. ummm... nitro
