Info on the host hotel for our 2011 GT World Championships can be found here: http://infernogt.net/world/accomodations.php

Registered racers will be picked up from the airport and escorted to the hotel. We will have shuttle service to & from the track each day. No need to rent a car or get lost in the process.

I was really hoping for the 4th or 5th. I've got a house full of family and loads of touristy stuff to do. I guess I'll have to wait until January for your next Corona race. Have a great race fellas. Hopefully next time I'll get to put a face with the screen name.

Fang, on the 5th is the warm up race for the Toys 4 Tots on Sunday, then the following weekend(Dec. 11 and 12) will be the 12th Annual Toys 4 Tots Race. SO you have 2 more opportunities to race with us. SUrf City is a very nice track with wide lanes and very slowy. check out http://socal.rcracing.com or goto www.facebook.com/occircuit for pics and info.

Bah..40% rains means nothing...it was 90% rain and only rained until 9am..then SUnny all day...my advise is to stay away from the weather sites cuz they still don't know what they are doing...

We need an earlier cut off time for the announcement if rain is eminent. I was half way out there last Sunday when I got the message. I ended up driving about 100 miles round trip for nothing.

Charlie, I think you have to make the decision the night before by like 11pm or so and post it up here and where ever else you announce it.

Dan, i have no control over the weather and when the day of at 6am i get many phone calls telling me not to bother going because they are at the track and it is drenched, then i make my announcement then. You did make a 100 mile round trip, but at least you didnt go all the way to the track and find out then. Gimme a break dude. It was a bigger loss for us. That and you could have called me too.

I am sorry Charlie I forgot you are a meteorologist. Note taken I will be out their next time even if it snowing and thunder storming or even a 100% chance of rain.

When the weekend report showed rain my plans were done on racing, the Kyosho race at Rev was cancelled and didn't look good for the rest of the weekend so my plans on Sunday was to go out with my kid and watch a movie.

I'm not hammering you Charlie, I know how hard it is. The weather is more fickle than politicians. I was just suggesting that if it's looking real sketchy maybe it's better to just call the shot late the night before and do the fall back date instead. I know the weather can turn out much better sometimes and then people will moan why the race was canceled, I understand, don't take it personal. But it makes it easier for people to plan their weekend or day that way.

But you've been doing this way longer than I've been attending so you've got more experience at this. We need one of those big circus tents to drive under, LOL.

Next time I will call you if it's looking sketchy, point well taken.
