Default Practice

Charlie:
Are you open for practice tomorrow. Just finished the conversion of the Kyosho ST-RR Truggy to GT and chased the kids on the street all day yesterday. Dying to check it out on the track. I need to get some of those PMTs as I am running the $9 Kyosho GT tires right now.

More specifically, the shock bodies and shafts of the front shocks. So front shocks X 4.

The car definitely works, however, I think the biggest improvement is the center diff.

For those that are still running the spool in their GTP2E, get the center diff for it. It is 100X easier to drive. You'll be glad you did.

Spool comes standard with the GTP2e. Use a center differential from an ultra buggy. Part# 31325

That is great news!!! I really want to see more manufacturers get behind this class, that's what will make it stick. As I've said, there are a ton of buggies out there waiting to be converted and we've seen just how well they can work.

I've just got some wiring to do and I should be ready to go.

The GTP2e come with a center spool but if you want to swap it out with a diff this is the number you need. 31325 retail 32.95

Well I got my DM-1 S in finally (man I love the smell of new RC) I am getting the Tekno conversion for it and have a couple of questions if you guys don't mind.

1 - I thought I read where the Tekno conversion chassis is shorter than the stock one. Is this true? And if so will the lid that came with it fit, or will I need to get another one?

2 - Do you guys keep the 2 speed or ditch it for a 1 speed. Can you lock it so reverse is possible?

3 - I would be interested in the speed and torque you guys are using for servos.

4 - And are the mechanical brakes preferred on these?

I appreciate any help you guys might have as I am new to the pavement.

Thanks in advance

Tekno conversion chassis is identical to stock.
Tekno conversion allows you to use 2 speed if you wish but will require brake servo.
I never use anything less than metal gear, 200 inch oz servos on steering or throttle.
Tekno makes a trick clutch setup that allows you to run a brake servo if you wish. I do not use a brake servo on my electric car, but I'm not racing.
Hopes this helps.
