I'm going to run my IGT2-E tomorrow. Just hope I don't fry, toaste or blow anything up while racing it.

I really want to get into GT racing, but I am so confused which direction to go. I am done with nitro, so I want electric. But I hear of no plans for anyone to release an E version.

Right now I am looking at getting a DM-1 Spec and converting it with the Tekno kit and a Tekin RX8/T8 setup. I've done conversions of other vehicles, but it's always expensive. I wish OFNA would release a DM-1e or something....

If you can find a Kyosho Inferno GT1 or GT2 roller, Kyosho makes a conversion kit to turn a nitro GT to electric. Then, it is a matter of what ESC/motor brand/combo you want to throw into it and there you have it.

Thanks for all of your suggestions guys, it's been a big help. I really hope the GT class grows in popularity. My funds will be in next week, so I can't wait to get this started.

Is the Kyosho a better car than the OFNA, or is that just another "Chevy vs. Ford" question?

Gotta be "chevy vs ford" but I do love my Kyosho IGT2-e and my LHS supports it so that's what works for me. The funny thing is some of the parts can be interchanged between the two so it's really up to you.

Each car, Kyosho or OFNA, has its good points and warts. Yes, it is just like the old "Ford vs Chevy" argument. I chose Kyosho due to past bad experiences with OFNA products in general. Both require some work to get them competition ready. If you go the Kyosho route, I can help you due to my 2+ years of running and racing the car. If you go to the nitro version of this thread, you will find a bunch of useful info as well as get some helpful advise.

Usually the cars come pre-setup. The only thing I would chance is to lay down the front shocks more.

AMAINHOBBIES delivered my 26T pinion and 44T Kyosho plastic spur. Now I can see what performance I can squeeze out of my 5S LIFE set up.

I also ordered the Losi L8 Oval high spring rates.. They look like they will fit my big bore trf dampers, but they're a little soft. Going to return them and buy the ones from Rc4less
