Ah, I have that one too. It's proportions are a bit weird. Mine also has a lot of imperfections. I called Daltaplastik in Italy about it and he said the molds are old and too expensive to make new ones.

You are right, it's not perfect. But I think it's one of the most awesome looking body available for 1/8 buggy chassis. It's like an old superwidebody track racing Porsche or RUF. The color and stickers does a lot of how it's looking.

Sure, you can. But you need to convert it to RC8 first the wheelbase of the SC8 is too long for the bodies.

@Maxxim, beautifull bodies!

You would probably need to switch the a arms and driveshafts from the rc8 then you would be able to fit gt2 size bodies if the wheelbase is 360mm

With 310
the SC8 has the same trackwitdh as the RC8, no need to change that but the wheelbase is 375 so although the idea is good it is not going to fit the 360 bodies then.
An RC8 baseplate en centerdogbones is not really expensive though. You could grind down the SC8 shocktowers or buy some RC8 CF shocktowers. They are low enough to fit a standard 315 body. (Like the above Porsche)

I might be missing something here, but I'm new to the 1/8 on-road stuff.

Long story short, I had a slash 4x4, got a Tekno SCT410, and the slash sat on the shelf.

I got to looking into something different to do with it, and I've settled on making it into a sort of GT8 car.

I guess what I am asking is this:
Are there any concrete rules for this class at all?
I've also had a diffidcult time telling what the difference between GT1 GT2 and GTP are...

I'm so sorry for being a noob on this, and I am sure it's covered someplace, but I'm having a hellu-va time finding it.

Also, just wondering to any of you who have maybe had a slash turned GT8... and an actual 1/8 GT sedan... is it a night and day difference?

Here is the truck so far.

I'm waiting on the mail for some wider a-arms and wider offset hubs, and camber/toe links.

Looks like u ready to race , gt1 and gt2 are diff size wheel base , for your car you would want a gt1 body . Maybe add the slash 4x4 sway bars , pretty much get rid of all plastic in drive train, mod1 gears ,
Would love to see that on the track .

My RC8.2e converted to GT ran great, lots of speed and cornering was good, just have to work on getting the chassis and body roll out more. The leaders car was flat in and out of turns and I was still rolling to much. Next changing to front shock tower and shocks to the rear, going heavier on the sway bars and heavier oil in shocks.

here is a link for the video...as you can see mine is the big ORANGE car..LOL

Looking good. You don't have a link to your France forums, especially if there is a lot of pics of your rallygame cars..?

Hi Guys,

An interesting thread, we have been doing a lot of testing here in Perth Australia with a DM-one standard wheel base car. ie True 1/8th scale. I was at the Factory in Taiwan and asked if they could make a DM one pro nitro car into an electric.

This car has performed a lot better than expected, so far the standard setup is,

4S 2300kv Hacker motor and Speed control 18/49 gearing and sweep 50 tyres.

1.5k diff oil in the shocks yellow springs on front white on rear and 500k oil in the front diff. With this setup, the car is easy to drive and set excellent lap times.

Modified setup, As above but 6s 5000 mah pack. This is setup is exciting and provides unlimited performance. I think it would be equal to a 1/10th modified touring car down the straight.
