Thanks, for looking.

Wow, looks promising!

I do have a couple of questions:

What size chassis is the body being designed for?

Will it come with light buckets for the front and rear end? (for adding led light kits)

What is the approximate price?

Any way to tweak the body so that it looks like a real (scale) GT racer without making an exact copy so that licensing of the body isn't an issue?

Other than that, great work! I look forward to seeing the final product all painted up and on a chassis!

I do not think so, I have not seen any with all the searching I have been doing that last few weeks.

I know there are brushless conversions for the D8, but as for GT8, you will more than likely have to mod some parts from kyosho or ofna to fit your chassis.

Download some manuals and have a look at the part listings and more importantly how the key parts go together.

If your not into doing the mods yourself, the ofna GT based models are reasonably priced and have parts support. That route may be the cheapest for you, if you are on a budget.

Hope that helps.

actually there is no need to tweak it for any licensing issues, this body is a design that I created on my own. as far as light buckets I don't think I will as to keep some cost down, and I already am not sure how much I will have to charge for the body, but it will be a competitive price. Also I will probably be able to make two versions one for the gt1 which is what you see and one for the gt2 length.

The body looks great! May I suggest a little higher wing in the back for more down force.

Some pictures of the car would be great, just to see how the conversion was done.

The batteries are kypom 3S - 35C - 5800mah x 2, but I think the 35C is not real because ESC cuts after 4 minutes of run time and the batteries were in 3.89v each cell...

We want to test with nanotech batteries...

This might also be a candidate if you are loocking for a hardcase.

http://www.gensace.com/epages/genspo...1P-HardCase-15

You might also check your connectors if they are realy in a good shape.

What was the amout of energy used / recharged with the pack you have after those 4 minutes ?

Sounds like you could adjust your cut off on the ESC. I would have expected a longer run time?

How are your temps (esc & motor)?

Asking because I'm planning to go with a 1700kv & 6 cells. Just not sure how big of packs to buy?

Connectors are good (5.5mm banana from hobbyking). I think the batteries are in bad condition, or they are not 35C, because testing with a Turnigy 4S 30C 5000, runtime is about 11 minutes...

Cut-off is set to 3.2v/cell in the xerun 150A, also we tested down to 3v per cell and did not improve time.

Temp after 4minutes: motor 50ºC, esc 45ºC. I expected 8-10 minutes with these bateries...

I think that after 3-4 minutes, in strong accelerations, the battery voltage drops below 3.2v and the ESC cuts. After 10-20 seconds the esc returning to work for a while...
