I looked into running the Losi, but ended up with the DM-1 as there are many more parts available for it. The car set up for Nitro is very quick and all of the chassis upgrades or changes work on the electric version. Plus there will be many more racers runninng this so you would be able to get more help.

Knowing the quality of Losi, you may be able to get it faster than the OFNA, just depends on your wrenching knowledge and the time to get it there.

And I've beat the snot our of my nitro DM1 over the past 3 years.

My 2 cents.

I went with Ofna route. It should be coming within the next week or two. Very surprised on how fast I sold my items. Either sold or pending within 4 hours. Going back, anyone with any tips or tricks with the ofna dm-1? Thanks

I found a g35 body for the DM-1. I ordered, I'm hoping it will fit my Losi 8ight/l8ight or should I call it gt8ight?

Here in socal, we also seem to be chasing the Losi during the races.. Dm-1 is not very competitive, you will have to change the shocks go stand up in front... Although you still do not have droop settings. The ofna gtp-2e is a better choice, SteveSNR used to battle it out with the Losi drivers and often win in the gtp-2e

Dang I should have waited. I have the dm-1 on route so I guess it will do for now. I noticed that the dm has a spool for center differential. Is there a way to replace it with a gear diff? Thanks

If you're new to GT8e, you should also consider the Team C car.. They have an electric GT kit, no need to convert one. It does run on same chassis length as Kyosho GT2, (360 mm) so you can run that awesome looking Audi R8 and make the rest of us jealous

I wonder how the 360mm wheelbase will work since it longer I don't know if it will get around the track as good as the shorter wheelbase.
