No, RC8 is 330 mm wheel base. The Audi r8 is a 360 mm wheel base

Having a tire wear issue, hoping you guys can help. Right side of the car is wearing faster than the left. More pronounced in the front, but also happening in the rear. The wear is occurring on the inside half of the tire.

I checked the setup to make sure all the settings are even between left and right sides. Also checked for body rub, and there are some rub marks, but they are pretty equal on all 4 corners. The tires are an old set of Ofna belted that are on their last legs anyway, but I'd like to get this sorted out so I don't trash my good tires.

Any ideas? Is it my driving? I have just been parking lot bashing lately, so I suppose I could be turning one direction more than the other, but haven't really paid much attention until now that I noticed the wear. Doesn't seem like I am turning enough more in one direction that would explain all the extra wear.

I'm coming to the gt8 word this weekend. I am converting my Losi 8ight to gt. So far I have everything execpt the body. Are there any suggested setups or should I just follow the L8ight setup? My main thing is I want to race my car on road so it will be built for that. I have 120000,50000,and 10000 ofna fluid for my diffs. I am unsure of what to put in the shocks. I purchase a slew of Losi oils for it. (30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 and 90) Could someone suggest what I should put in the shocks, diffs and where to start for shock holes. I have to losi l8ight model front and rear shock towers.

Just in case someone wants to know I will run a Tacon 2150kv and Hobbywing 150a esc. 4s 5000mah 40c battery(Gens Ace)

Also would like suggestions on a rally style body (Fiesta, Lancer, BMW M3, Etc)

I guess either this thread is dead OR people find my question too dumb for a response. Maybe someone can answer this question. I found a shell I am interested. Does anyone know if the Ofna G35 body will fit the Losi L8ight?

I don't know that body first hand. If the wheel base is between 220 and 230, it will fit.

I would look at your weight balance from one side to the other. I have had many cars that needed a little weight either added, removed or just move from one side to the other. This was something I failed to check on many of my RC's for years. Including my off road stuff. After putting more time into weight balancing, I found faster times in all of my cars.
Also might want to bring the dif lube weight up just a bit to keep from spinning the tires as bad! Just some ideas... Hope this helps!

The DM1e is about 5mm shorter than the DM1 Nitro.

Default New to GT8

Hey guys, I'm currently switching from off road to on road. To keep it short, I have a losi 8Te just sitting around and would like to convert it. Would it be worth converting? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'm in the process of finishing up a L8ight Model conversion (I believe that it's the same chassis) and it's a no brainer.

BUT

To do the truggy, you'll need all new arms (buggy), new (L8ight model) shock towers and new shock bodies and shafts. In addition, it was recomended to me to use RC4Less springs - the firm set for the L8ight model.

Ideally, if you could swap your truggy for a L8ight model you would be money WAY ahead - I converted mine simply because it is a low time car and the L8ight models are NOT bringing a lot of money...

I hope this doesn't discourage you - they're great cars and are supposed to work very well on the track!

Sounds simple enough, but looking at different websites I can't find any gt bodies around 368-372 wheelbase. I've looked around aswell for a l8ight model but the prices are unreasonable. Thanks for the tip

As a suggestion (and you may have been there already) you might try dirt oval dot com - I noticed several on there but didn't go into pricing....
