What happens when you use them on a 26 rim? Now there is a subject for testing. That number is the width right? Then you could probably cut the rim and shave the 2mm from the inside. glue it all back together on a jig that keeps it all straight. Hmmmm.
Love the price on the spec tire, and the removal of the guess work. Not liking the smaller selection of rims.
Thats me. When you guys announced this class, it basically shut me up from everything that I was discontent with in VTA. I quit bitching and all the sudden when I hear someone cry about the bodies or the ESC or the motors or the tires in VTA; I just say, "Go run USGT!!!!"
New trick parts do well because they are often handed to guys who are already fast, for testing or development. Not that they arent developed for a reason and from science and testing. Thats not my point. But I will bet if yourself or EA or Robk had golf ball divits milled into the bottom of your plate, you could get 50 more guys to try it, even if it didn't help performance. Or monkey snot or unicorn juice. I think we have already been here in this thread so, but I agree very much that there is such a long way to go before it takes trick parts or the newest gear to make the difference. Everybody knows that I am not the fastest racer, but even I know that not waiting on a turn marshal makes up more time than that hot battery.

The whole reason for the rules being the way they are structured when Rob and I reworked what was RCGT rules was to help bridge the gap between VTA and Stock TC. This class is structured in a way that allows people who dont want to race 17.5 but want more options that VTA does not allow. I think if you start to spec the motor and the battery you will now start to turn people off the class. With this class people are able to use a car and electronics and move up a class with really only a motor change outside of body and tires. Once you start to spec too much the class becomes too restrictive and really if you like that type of format VTA is that class.
Racing is only as expensive as you want to make it. Truth be told you are in control of your own check book/wallet even when it doesnt always feel that way at times...lol. Just because the guy next to you has some new trick part or some new motor hits the market it does not mean you have to buy it. Racers need to just have fun and not get so concerned with what new hot part is out there.

its non belted
We have mounted them up on 26mm rims for testing. They will mount up on 26mm rims but the tire becomes more square because the tire is a low profile tire. If there was more side wall the tire would mount up on 26mm rims just fine.
We will be looking to spec Unicorn juice in the coming weeks so everyone is on the same juice. Someone who is lucky enough to have a quadracorn should not be allowed to use its juice.....only Unicorn juice is USGT legal!!!

I don't race USGT (for now) but this is a good thing IMO. Many of you probably have used Solaris tires for USGT and have plenty of sets in your bag, I have 6 sets myself from racing 17.5 TC.
A set of Solaris tires are approx $28 per set, Gravity tires are $13.99 per set. Remove the old Solaris tires, glue on new Gravity tires ... VOILA !! you just saved yourself $14 !! Multiply that by number of old sets in bag, in my case 6, I just saved myself $84 !!
There's several race day fee's. Gas to and from track. New bodies. etc, etc ...
