I like the mazda body but just dont want to shell out that kinda cash. I believe this class is grwt because of the diveristy of the bodies you can run. Given slower speed, the tire limitations, and the weight restrictions, there may be a slight difference in body performance, but none that most average drivers would notice. I think bodies like the mazda, mclaren, zonda, and others like it are more like a true gt class than others. But when it comes down to it as long as its not a "touring car" or "wedge" type body with molded in spoiler, its a good body for the class. The point is find something you think looks cool, slap some paint on it, and have fun. Because like I have said before on many other post, for 99% of us out there its not your motor, your batteries, or your body causing you to lose... Its your really crappy driving. The sooner you realize that, the sooner you'll make the podium.

This is part of the first post in the RCGT thread from 2008 :
"With the growing interest of RCGT in both ends of the continent, there should be some discussion on this special class for all to follow. With a lot of bodies available to the public especially the EXOTIC cars, it is deemed appropriate to expand our already diverse on-road classes to promote the "shelf queen" bodies we always wished we can race, whether it is the Nissan Skyline or the Corvette to the Uber Exotic Pagani Zonda, they all now have a home with our local tracks. Always wanted to run the cool five spoke deep dish wheels and not the plain dish? No problem. Always wanted to run a cheap, great gripping tire you can run for a season? No Problem. Wanted to still run your older chassis but feel it is out of date? No Problem. RCGT allows you to run the "REALISTIC" class, pretty much the main reason why we all started in RC to begin with, and not worry about spending a lot of cash to have fun. Interested yet?"
USGT came from the ashes of RCGT. I don't think there is a need to limit things outside of trying to keep it realistic, and away from wedge bodies and the standard touring car bodies. Also, no trucks!!! or vans for that matter!!!

Guys I'm very sorry for starting 2 pages of an disagreement. I was just trying to get clarification if the Speed Passion was ok... Either way before making a purchase, spending time painting (I HATE!!!! painting) show up to The Track and find out that the body I have is not acceptable. I was NOT trying to stir the pot (I have been known to do that from time to time ) but NOT in this case.
So please back to the normal USGT talk....

NOT A DATSUN! 69 NISSAN Skyline GTR. ABC Hobbies makes them. You have to watch their site like a hawk to catch them in stock. I'm currently painting another Skyline this time an R30 which was the first car I ever owned! I lived in Japan during high school!
going to run VTA tires all around but the radials. I still haven't put the fender flares on the GTR. I bought some watch screws to attach them and don't have a drill with a small enough chuck to hold the drill!
