This has been talked about before the Dynamite tires are not the same compound as the Ride tires being sold now. We noticed the same problem with the Dynamite tires. Outside on asphalt I use Paragon in the white can with tire warmers and the tires last a long time.

We have seen that too at our track as well. One racer had a set early on that was about bald after only a few races. The newer ones seem to last lmuxh longer than the HPI X-Patterns did.

By the way, HPI said on their Facebook page that the X-Patterns will be back in stock very soon. I still prefer the X-patterns. I liked the tire squealing, others didn't.

+1 I love the squealing x patterns. Our Tamiya Mini's were like that too. I do prefer the new Ride spec tires though for wear and price. They may not be the best tires but they are a great choice for spec racing.

That is like asking, "What's your favorite ice cream flavor ?". I'm sticking with my Novak Ballistic "parts" motor.

My opinion only, Get the new Team powers Actininum 21.5 motor. Gear it at 3.9 FDR. You will not be disappointed with it. The only time I get beat is when I MAKE TOO MANY MISTAKES, OR another driver with the Actininum.

that motor looks nice, but don't see it on the ROAR approved list - which is what i'm after for a race i'm heading too

Those are speed controls not 21.5 motors. In 21.5 motor it takes right timing and gear ratio to get the motor to perform. I recommend not necessarily in any order. R1Wurks, ORCA, Revtech, kill shot. Kill shot is dicey they are fast but they let the magic smoke out. I run a R1WURKS.
By the way SpeedPassion motors come with a sensor board that the timing is barely adjustable/10°.
