Well I plan on reglueing all my wheels to these new tires .
Yesterday I mounted a set of ride tires on Jaco wheels that I painted silver .
Also cut some 26mm wheels down to 23.5-24mm on the tire lathe reglued them today and balanced them and glued tires on them also. Seem to be very strong i squeezed the glued wheel in my had as hard as i could and it never broke .
I have 3 gold sets of hpi mesh wheels that will get this treetment as the Xpatterns ware out .
If u plan on baking the old tires wheels ....(400 for 15min ) (make sure ur significant other isnt home for several hrs after tho) lol

Acetone is great for removing tires, gets rid of the CA completely

I dunk all my HPI wheels in acetone over night... usually cutting the treads off and pulling out the foam insert to be recycled first before remounting new tires. usually the beads fall right off without any effort in an acetone bath

I'll usually strap the beads back on before painting the wheels with a matching body color, then mount my tires after the paint cures.

I tried baking and boiling... never again will I use those methods unless I am forced to such as Sweep ROK wheels which melt in acetone, then boiling is my only option to recover any relatively new tire from a stripped hex, etc.

You should try the acetone vapor method, takes about a week to disolve the CA but does not destroy the inserts or certain plastics.

I will definitely give that a shot for sure next time, I'm done burning my fingers and tearing the rubber. Thanks for the tip!

Cover an old pot and prop up tires above acetone. Do not immurse them in the acetone. If u cover it, most will be done overnight. Certain rubber compounds dont survive (clay compound offroad tires for example-shrink).

Good news for old cars. A TC4 just won halloween classic in ohio. I am still laughing in fact...

Yeah this was a point of contention with some people as this motor was never deemed illegal by ROAR. The only D3.5 motor that was in question was the 17.5 motor.

Has the turnigy trackstar 21.5 ever been deemed illegal by ROAR ? Since were cutting cost with spec (cheap) tires why not allow the $35 motor ?
