The first lap carnage in all 3 legs A mains videos were not world championship level. 2 main contributers to this was:
Even Marc Rheinard was preparing for some rear end action by installing the 2 anti body tuck bodyposts to his rear bulkhead.
- Hair Pin for turn 1 on start
- Relatively small track without low and very high speed sections to create multiple passing zones.

Someone email Sharpie, they won the Worlds! Take out full page print ads in the newspapers! TV commericals!
When you get hit from behind, it stops the rear of the body being folded under and getting caught on the rear wheels.

The preventing body tuck thing makes sense, but when I saw the posts like that, the first thing I thought was that it might be to help maintain maximum downforce by preventing the body from flexing. If you push on your wing you'll see it doesn't take much pressure to change the angle slightly due to both the wing and the body flexing, especially if you use one of those lightweight bodies. I imagine those posts would not only keep the wing at it's intended angle better, but also transfer downforce to the chassis more efficiently. They would have to be snugly fit though.
It was probably just done to prevent body tuck as was stated above, but I still like my theory.

Hi guys, It was a great event, the weather was awesome, a bit hot but no wet stuff.
Jilles had the worst luck of the weekend. His radio problems on Fridays last qualifier really hurt him, He had the best car on used tires and would have most likely TQ'd that round and took TQ overall.
Marc took advantage of the pole position and the guys behind him piled up each race to give Marc the gap he needed to have less pressure to take the win.
1/12th was all Naoto. No question who was the fastest and who deserved the title. A2 will go down as one of those great races. Jilles told me that he was so happy with 2nd place knowing how fast Naoto was.
A great job by the MAC Burgdorf club on organizing the race.
Now on to IIC stuff.
Best wishes.
