You are correct. They're so tall they throw off ride height, roll center, camber rise and everything that goes along with setup. Personally I think it's poor judgement to allow a spec tire that's so much different from the normal race tires run in TC. And don't start with the "we run them at my track and they're blah blah blah BS... cause nobody cares. Any tire you have to use pliers to pull them out of the tire warmers obviously aren't normal size. Period.
But like everything else, money talks. I guess if someone put up enough money they would run those solid rubber drift tires...
